I have the cleanest fridge and yet I get that typical taste to uncapped water and ice cubes in the fridge. I don't believe there is anything one can do except cap the water and put he ice cubes in a sealed container as soon as they are made. This will significantly reduce that taste I hate.

Haha! I've had this before too! I know it taste yucky! All you gotta do is get a new filter. You can buy one at Home Depot! Just bring the old filter to Home Depot and they'll direct you to the one you need.

It's that cheap plastic "Feed Line", get a higher quality line from a plumbing supply store (tell them what you told us). or get a good plumber, (again ask for a reputable plumber at the plumbing supply house, they are only going to recommend a guy that pays his plumbing supply Bill on time, anyone who is paying their Bill's on time, knows what the Hell they are doing).

Maybe there is something in the water line thats connected from the water source to the fridge, try to check that?
Or the opening where the water and ice comes out of the fridge maybe something there.
???

The water and ice are picking up oders from the food that is inside your fridge. After you clean out your fridge and wash down the sides and the bins, put an open box of Baking Soda toward the back of the fridge out of the way of the food. Change out this box every 30 days or so.
