I’m thinking about switching from buying water to filters cause I’m tired of going to the store each week and stocking up on water. I was wondering which one is better and more cleaner, the pitcher filter or faucet filter, or are they both the same? I’m gonna use this for drinking water so want the one that is cleanest. Thanks.
Countertop distiller for drinking water?
I am looking into purchasing counter-top distiller to make drinking water. Please do not leave post on drinking tap water.
1) Could you recommend me a water distiller that is small? Price range $100 ~ $400
2) It seems distillers come with charcoal filters. What are they for? if process distillation removes impurities?
3) Since water distillation removes all essential minerals, are there additives to put in distilled water? (Is Cell Food from Lumina Products, one of them?)
4) Are there any negative aspects in using a counter-top water distiller? The time it takes to make distilled water, taste, and electric bill is not my concern.
5) Does distillation rid of all impurities?
Thank you.
