The hard water in my shower really dries out my skin, is there anyway to soften up the water or eliminate this problem all together? Ive seen adds on TV for this shower head that has a water filter in it…does anyone know if this thing works?

ok. we dont have a well but we have very hard water. I guess I dont understand why you would do both then. ??
I have very hard water and can not digest minerals. I would like to know what people like and which one is the most cost effective also.
Does anyone know of a good shower filter for hard water? I can’t seem to find many in stores, and I have never heard of the brands that I have found. Do you have any recommendations? Links would be helpful too.

I just moved into a new apartment and water here is EXTREMELY hard. It’s so hard that my skin hurts. My skin’s peeling off (this used only happen during the winter months…) My hands are constantly red just because I wash them like everybody else. My skin is cracking like crazy, too. I didn’t have this problem before I moved in. I’m currently combatting this problem with loads of moisturizers, but this water problem is killing my rosacea ridden skin…
Will a shower filter (Aquasana is the brand I’m considering) solve my hard water problem?
