Scarlet Rose asked:

I’m looking for an undersink water filter system, however, every company I find online or via the yellowpages seem to just sell the system, then its up to you to organise a plumber to install it, and monitor it for a replacement filter etc.

I’m hoping someone might be able to tell me of a company who services the Sydney (city) area and provides full service – Supplies the system and all its parts, installation and is available for service and new filter installation when required.

Any help would be great.. Thanks :)

shemin asked:

Does anyone know why the the supposed filtered water comes out from my undersink water purified system is visibly carbon color.

I recently changed the filters. The color does fade away if I flush a little more, but it has been behaving like this when the first time of a day in the morning I turn on the faucet, for a couple of days already.

Has anyone had a water softener or filtration system installed in their house?

I am trying to do my research before spending the big bucks on a whole house water filtration/softener system and I’m not sure what to focus on. It seems there really is a difference between “filtering” and “softening” and I’d like the benefits of both, but everything I’ve found out there so far that falls into the “both” category is multiple thousands of dollars. Yet when I search the one or the other options, buying both units would cost less than buying the dual-action unit.
Any advice from anyone who has purchased and used either or both of these systems?

Even if your local municipal water supply is considered "drinkable", it's a good idea to use water filters as it will further purify the drinking water not to mention making it taste better.
